Abstract

Human development in Jambi Province in 2019 continues to experience progress marked by the continued increase in the Human Development Index (HDI). In 2019, the Jambi Province HDI reached 71.26. This figure increased by 0.61 points compared to HDI in 2018 which amounted to 70.65.
In 2019, the HDI of Jambi Province is still at a "high" level. This is the second time the Jambi Province HDI score is above 70 points with a growth of 0.86 percent compared to 2018.
Babies born in 2019 have a chance to live up to 71.06 years, an increase of 0.17 years compared to those born in 2018.
Children who are in 2019 aged 7 years have the opportunity to attend school for 12.93 years (Diploma I), 0.03 years longer than those of the same age in 2018.
Population aged 25 years and over in 2019 have on average been educated for 8.45 years (class IX), 0.22 years longer than in 2018.
The adjusted per capita expenditure (constant 2012 prices) of the people has reached 10.59 million rupiah in 2019, an increase of 235 thousand rupiah compared to 2018.
