Abstract

In September 2019, the level of inequality in spending by Jambi residents as measured by the Gini Ratio was recorded at 0.324. This figure increased by 0.002 points when compared to the March 2019 Gini Ratio.
The Gini Ratio in urban areas in September 2019 was recorded at 0.346, down compared to the March 2019 Gini Ratio of 0.351. While the Gini Ratio in rural areas in September 2019 was recorded at 0.290, an increase compared to the March 2019 Gini Ratio of 0.287.
In September 2019, the distribution of population expenditure in the lowest 40 percent was 20.57 percent. This means that population expenditure is still in the category of low inequality. If broken down by region, in urban areas the figure is 18.71 percent, which means it is in the category of low inequality. While for rural areas the figure was recorded at 22.31 percent, which means it was included in the category of low inequality.
